As a father, professional photographer, and mountain athlete, Ming knows and loves the Reno – Tahoe area on many levels and can’t wait to share that knowledge and passion with his clients.
Ming moved from Vermont, where he grew up, to Lake Tahoe for college, where he studied management and international business at University Nevada, Reno. After graduating, he started shooting photos of his friends snowboarding and rock climbing and also appeared in front of the lens himself, learning snowboard photography from the athlete’s perspective.
When his father died unexpectedly, Ming, then 27 years old, had a choice to make: help run his family’s international trading business in their native Hong Kong or keep adventuring in the mountains. He chose to help his family. Ming moved to China for five years to help run a microelectronic trading business across global lines. He learned to speak Mandarin on the job and gained experience across various fields of international business. But he longed for clean air, fresh water, snow-covered peaks and the mountain lifestyle he’d grown to love in Tahoe. His number one motive for the next chapter in his life was to live where he wanted to live and do the work he wanted to do.
After returning home from living abroad, Ming created a successful media production company, won prestigious photography awards and had his work published in national magazines. That’s also when he began his adventure in real estate by finding, purchasing and remodeling his home in Tahoe City, where he now lives with his wife and son. Through his many experiences and travels, Ming understands the value of a good home base. He has a great passion for helping others find their perfect home to support their dream lifestyle in Tahoe.
